For those of you outside the UK, air passenger duty has just been doubled. And the new tax is effective from today, regardless of when you bought and paid for your ticket.
Now, if the travel company wanted to put the price up after I’d paid for the holiday, then they could take a hike. But since it’s the government it’s OK for them to stiff us. Theiving bastards.
